This is not to bash or slander Bishop Ellis in any way. Nor is it to imply he doesn’t do these things. This is simply my thoughts as a believer and not associated with anyone or entity.
“Stay focused while you are hurting and discouraged. Carry the wound and stay in the race! ” -Bishop Ellis
Although Bishop Neil Ellis makes a good point on carrying your wound an
d staying in the race. My concern is that encouragement is there but often times the teaching is not. My dad use to tell me as a college student to manage my money, but failed to tell or teach me how. It’s like watering a seed that isn’t there, but expecting a harvest soon. Then get mad at God when there’s no increase. Many people are in the race but aren’t carrying their wound well. They are spewing toxins to others. So instead of making great disciples they’re greatly infecting people. Then blaming them for being sick. People are focused on the promise but not tending to their wounds. On the battlefield it is important to complete your mission, but it’s also equally important to get your wounds bandaged. What happens to neglected wounds? It gets worse. Wounded people need healing. They need to know that love is the cure. Not just any type of love but God’s love. Agapē (God’s unconditional love) has the healing to any aliment because God is love. I never seen someone hated into wholeness, ignored into deliverance or avoided into a healing miracle. God says with Love and kindness have I drawn thee. If God is in us via the Holy Spirit shouldn’t we be His limbs to extend his love? Shouldn’t we love as God loves? Shouldn’t we meet the woman at the well? (John 4) Speaking of well, I have never seen one inside a building. So why are we only displaying a form of love inside God’s house. Does He not go with you outside His brick and mortar? “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19 NLT) The absence of light is darkness. ““You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.”(Matthew 5:14 NLT) We are called to shine our light, but if we don’t address and redress our wounds our light is compromised. Our love becomes tainted and people will be affected and infected. Prayer: Lord, you are our strength and refuge. In you we can hide and rest. We lift up our wounds to you. Help us get back to the place where we a passionate about you. Not for anything more but to be your child that’s pleasing to you. Cleanse us again that we may shine bright before you, drawing those you have called unto you. Cultivate us into being great soldiers who carry our season of transition, and/or our pruning that we maybe better examples in the Earth. Teach us to love with your love that someone may understand just how much you love them. And we thank you for your grace and mercy that you extend to us each and everyday. It is in Jesus name we pray. Amen #Love #TheAntibiotic #OnPurpose
